Ultra Sonography
Diagnostic ultrasound, also called sonography or diagnostic medical sonography, is an imaging method that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within your body. The images can provide valuable information for diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and conditions.
During an ultrasound examination you may be asked to take off your jewelry and change your clothing to hospital dress. During the ultrasound procedure a gel is applied over the body part to be examined to ensure no air pockets are between the probe and the skin, which could hamper the ultrasound results.
